Intelligent Access Program (IAP)

Improve your road network access with one program

The Intelligent Access Program (IAP) remotely monitors where, when and how heavy vehicles are being used. This provides transport operators with an opportunity to boost productivity, turnaround times and profits by increasing road access or mass allowances in exchange for compliance. Teletrac Navman* gives you a competitive edge and puts money back in your pocket by taking part in the IAP through our certified service provider Navman Wireless Australia Pty Limited.

Increase your payload

IAP is a national program that allows operators to increase payload in return for monitoring compliance with specific access conditions via certified telematics. The program gives heavy vehicles access to Higher Mass Limit (HML) roads that would otherwise be off-limits, as well as providing access for special vehicles such as mobile cranes, High Productivity Freight Vehicles (HPFV) and Performance-Based Standards (PBS) vehicles. Teletrac Navman* helps deliver a competitive advantage by safeguarding IAP compliance, increasing the workload of vehicles and delivering flexible routes.

The Intelligent Access Program boosts transport sector productivity while allowing your business to achieve specific safety, asset management and environmental outcomes. Transport operators are able to achieve greater efficiency, better turnaround times and higher profits, with IAP allowing more access or increasing allowable mass, in return for compliance with road access conditions.

Teletrac Navman works with fleets that are using IAP to run a more efficient operation. Bulktrans, a division of Scott Corporation, were previously forced to take an eight-kilometre detour around approved Higher Mass Limit routes. With On-Board Scales fitted to its vehicles, Bulktrans could check approved mass and travel a different route. This instantly reduced fuel usage, increased payload and productivity, reduced the impact of greenhouse gases and improved the local traffic environment.
IAP helps your business:

  • Achieve greater efficiency and increased payload for higher profit margins
  • Monitor your compliance with GPS tracking to ensure your fleet is meeting requirements
  • Improve safety, asset management and environmental outcomes, boosting the overall productivity of your business
